Yes you can, just list in your essay (I think there's a question regarding additional info you want to provide to the admission team) that you'll retake the exam if the admission team recommend to do so. At least that was the recommendation I received from INSEAD MBA recruitment & BD team.

I would also suggest that along with mentioning that you are willing to retake the test, also talk about the strong point in your gmat(quant or verbal) and mention how you compensate for the weak point in other areas and how you plan to improve that so as it is not a hinderance during MBA. If they get convinced, you may not require to retake the GMAT.
I did the same in my application.

Because it’s your overall profile that is equally important not just GMAT

Hi everyone! I applied for Jan 24 in R3 and submitted my application on 06/06. Haven’t heard back yet..has any one else? Is this sort of timeline normal?

I would like to add that when INSEAD states that applications are looked at holistically, they really mean holistically. Your GMAT score is above the 640 required by INSEAD. A higher score wouldn't hurt BUT DO NOT rely on having a strong GMAT score as your ticket to admission. Highlight your work experience and align it with the four pillars that INSEAD looks for each candidate. A combination of strong application and recommendation can definitely overcome a low GMAT (not applicable in your case) or GPA. Know that you are more than a bunch of numbers from a standardized test.

@Kaughan : I took the GMAT about 5 months ago and got a 720. My advice would be based on if you are a native speaker or not. If you are a non-native speaker, I would recommend going for EGMAT ) full course for all basics and comprehensive lessons ( it was very useful for me as a non native speaker ) and then path it in with GMAT style native thinking with MGAMT’s companion guides all the while practising from OG books.

Hey everyone, hoping I can get some advice here. Currently planning to apply in R4, I recently (finally) took the GMAT and scored 700 – when I had a call with the MBA recruitment office the person I spoke with mentioned he didn’t think it was necessary for me to bother retaking, but not sure how much at face value I should take this given they most likely would want to source as many applicants as possible? Any thoughts from this group? I still plan to retake once more before admissions deadline but just curious how to take this comment.

I would suggest go ahead and apply. For INSEAD, it’s the overall profile that matters, not just the GMAT score. I am R2 admit and saying this from experience. If your overall profile is strong, focus on enhancing other aspects of the profile in your application than retaking the GMAT.
