I know a few instances where an application was submitted a few hours late after the deadline.
They sent an email to the admissions about it and the adcom was nice to consider their application for the requested deadline.
It depends from adcom to adcom through.

Thanks Nikhil! It sounds assuring. I did as a matter of fact. Later I also saw in one of their pages that in case the deadline is missed due to technical issues, to reply back to them asap. So we’ll have to wait and see

If they approve to accept your application for Round 1, I don’t see any issues after that.
