Reapplicant here. Last year I got the interview invite few weeks after submission (and later waitlisted until July and dinged) but this time around I have yet to receive an interview. Starting to wonder if they don't interview reapplicants? I did reach out to the my interviewer last year and she said it was excellent so I am just wondering now.

Thanks

It was very mechanical for me. The interviewer did not look very interested in the process. Just went through the set of questions and taking notes. :(

The questions are set and won't vary much. So, I recommend candidates refer to the interview debrief and prepare well.

I had the same experience though, I felt a bit lack of engagement

Recorded interview is the only option.

Hi folks, those who submitted recorded interview, is the 48hrs deadline a hard deadline? The invite said ’if you’re choosing the recorded interview, we ask that you submit within 48hrs’. I wrote to the school asking if more live interview slots would be released and they replied asking me to do recorded only ’at your earliest convenience’. Can I take a few days to submit? Could someone pls opine? Thanks!

Hi Kartik - I’d recommend to do the pre-recorded invites when you’re ready. Earlier, of course, being better as they can through your application and assess it.

Hi guys, I’d like to check if I need to fill in the ’Reasons for Leaving’ section when inputting my current job aka why am I leaving the job for an MBA. Or is it more for previous jobs I’ve left?

It’s for the previous jobs you left, basically for the switches you made in your work experience till now. It’s not for why you’re leaving the job now for an MBA, that is to be left empty, it’s apparent from your application itself 😅

Has the venture capital world been “overlooking the entrepreneurial energy and achievement” at UC Berkeley?

A group of Haas MBA students thought so. They formed Courtyard Ventures in 2021 to change the ecosystem. In its first seven months, it raised nearly $2 million from 150 investors, all Cal students and alumni.
