I am yet to give my GMAT. I don’t have a great undergrad GPA (3ish / Engineering), but I did my masters in Engineering Management and compensated for that GPA. Plus I think I have been doing well as a professional (Auto Industry). I transitioned from engineering to Engineering Management. I plan to apply part time. Any thoughts on my profile?

Hi I am Italian. I have studied in Italy and got a double degree for studying a period in the US. Do I have to take the IELTS/TOEFL?

How impactful are GPAs for international students (i.e. Southeast asian schools)? I graduated from a top uni in SEA but my gpa is just 3.4 (but I already have 8-year experience in tech)
I think as we tend to cross the 6 year work ex limit, the focus is more on GMAT because well 8 years is a long time and GMAT gives a more latest picture if you can handle the academic rigor at the college. So, best case for you would be to score extremely high on GMAT.

It’s one of the easiest to get into (when compared to other industries).

Why did you all choose to go to booth? Every school says that its about basically the same 6 buzzwords. What made Booth unique?

You can’t sell it that way, though.
I see your point. So, it would be better to frame it as a combination of external and internal factors (well as all stories are lol) rather than purely as an internal growth story?

The impact you generated over these years will take a higher precedence over your gpa. However, if you have already compensated for that during your masters, you’re good to go.

I’ll suggest you to check that with the adcom.

For me, it’s not about why booth or wharton or hbs or any other bschool is unique....It’s about what my goals are and will this school serve the right purpose for me. I have seen people leaving M7 school offers to go to a T10 school because they found the T10 school a better fit.

It’ll depend on your entire profile. While 323 is a great score, I think it’s still below par for Booth.

Say you are a consultant from a big 4 with 3/4 years experience, is a 322 a good GRE score?

I just checked this for you, if you have an undergrad or postgrad from a university with english as their official language, you dont need to submit TOEFL.

It’ll depend on a number of factors in your profile like your gpa, your projects, promotions, ECs. Overall its a decent score but I’ll suggest to find the average GRE in your competitive pool. For ex, if you’re Indian or Chinese, you should aim to get around 330.

Yes I think 700 is a good score for the part-time program.

But as an Indian, try to score around 20-30 points higher

Thank you everyone! It was nice answering all the wonderful questions. All the best for the application season ahead. Feel free to reach out to me via DM or linkedin (ankushbansal3103).
