BB is it because of volume of the applications ? I have seen so many terrific candidates getting rejected.
Obviously I don’t know the real reason but when they select people for interview, it’s usually a very cursory fast review which is based on very few parameters such as score and years of work experience and day one minute glance at the resume or who knows frankly....
But the person who got rejected from Fuqua without an interview in round two had already admitted to Darden with a full scholarship in R1. The person who got rejected from LBS without an interview had a GMAT of 745.
The only two logical explanations I can think of and I’m sure there are more but I just can’t think of them, Is that these are either mistakes - just human errors, or perhaps there are too many applicants who match the certain profile and there’s just no room for that candidacy any more. (This would be the applicant theory) But I really don’t buy the applicant theory and I’m more inclined to think that these are just human errors.... I just don’t see a reason why you would not interview capable candidates. There may be something else that schools are checking now but Fuqua interviews so many people....
