I am at 800 to 9p0 words for both essays

From what I’ve heard you don’t want to lose the content of your essays but at 800 to 900 that might be a little much I would at least try to cut to be beneath 750

I know someone who got into booth and his essay 1 was close to 1K

Each 800. Goals essay 800, picture essay 900

I think it really just comes down to the story you are trying to tell - if you really need that many words then use them, but if there is filler try to cut

It’s good to keep in mind that the admission committee probably has a lot of applications to read and it best to keep it shorter than longer. You don’t want them to feel like they’re getting tired from reading an essay. Even schools like Stanford have a limit of 650 words, so it’s probably best to cut down some points that don’t add much value overall
