Ya, now I am wondering whether CBS will starts reviewing the application the moment it's submitted or the moment it's completed (when recommenders send the letters in.)

I had the same thought, especially because I knew my LORs would be a week or so behind me. FWIW, I submitted my stuff on 8/27, my recommendations went in on 9/3, and I got an interview invite on 9/24. I interviewed on 9/30, and got an email today that my interview feedback was submitted today. :dazed

Wow! 5 schools. Good luck! So did you get it across? The deadline is in a few hours~
CBS is my reach school, and it's also the one I am most invested in. However, the more I research, the more despair I feel (So many great candidates got dinged in the past).
But the heart wants what it wants.
Anyway! Good luck to us all ED applicants with hearts set on CBS.

Good luck everyone! I just submitted earlier this evening (reach school for me too). I'm assuming that since we'll get our decision a little closer to 8 weeks than 6 weeks -- so early December?

5 is a lot in R1 so kudos!

Tadada - you have a solid GMAT score and CBS really focuses on "why CBS" and "why NYC," and they want a curious, diverse class so just make sure your essays reflect that!

Thanks! I'll continue working through May, and then I'll take the summer off.

My spouse is a second year MBA at another M7 right now so we'll travel abroad for a few months before they start work and I start my MBA.

BTW, CBS uses Slack so maybe it's better to create a group there?

Hey guys - if you make a columbia.edu email (which takes a while after you submit your deposits), you can join the Slack channel without an invite. The "workspace" is cbs2021.slack.com

If you haven't yet, just pm me w/ your email!

INTERVIEW INVITE MAIL ERROR!!

So a really weird thing happened. I submitted my application to Columbia on 1 October for ED. I received an Interview Invite mail on 8th October.

10 hours later , I received another mail with subject “PLEASE DSIREGARD: Interview Invite” stating that there was some system error through which email got sent out. My application has reached the review stage and that they will keep me updated.

Did this happen with anyone else? Or it’s just me being taken through an emotional roller coaster?

So I didn’t personally get anything but a bunch of other people did on clear admit did, I saw at least 15 people with the same problem. When did u submit your app? I wonder if there’s a certain criteria of people this happened to...

Happened to me as well (also submitted on 10/1). I even accessed the interview portal, was assigned an interviewer, and emailed that interviewer to set up a date/time on Monday night before finding out it was a system error on Tuesday morning. This probably happened to everyone that submitted an ED application on 10/1 if I had to guess. Definitely wasn't pleased when I found out I hadn't actually received an interview invitation after reaching out to the interviewer, telling my family, etc.
