You can negotiate quite a bit if you have an offer from booth or another M7 with a scholarship. It becomes a lot harder if you have nothing else. It’s not harder just we have no leverage … But there are ways to negotiate smaller amounts even if you have no leverage. You can site personal situation and hardship if that is the case and you can see there are fellowships or T.A. positions available

Yeah CBS was my only R1 success. Oh well, I’ll try and provide feedback one way or the other

It’s an awesome success but it makes it hard to negotiate if you have no other options. Schools don’t like negotiating as you can imagine … You can definitely approach the subject again after you get your round two results. Or if nothing else, you can try to get at least a small amount. That can also be done later.

Yes, certainly.

We do help with that but be smart about it, because you have to do so in a slightly different way than others.

Even others who just put up a comparative offers on a portal, that may increase your scholarship but you’re falling into a trap- accepting less and settling for much less than your actual value. Never settle for less. If you are smart about how to go about that, you will have a better outcome. Happy to help. Already doing so for many others but I am a big fan of costing the business schools more and the students less. ;) Evil? May be hahaha

I have two GRE scores both with the same total but different splits. 157V, 170Q and 162V, 165Q. Should I submit both for CBS or only stick to the one with the perfect Quant score? Any advice?

I’d say go for both given the scores are the same.

And they don’t mix n match. They’ll just pick one

For R1, it took about a month before invites started to roll out. We got an email from them stating what to expect at that time

2 weeks minimum unless there are special ones but for general population 2 weeks

There are some diversity and other options that get those scheduled early or on the side or in the conference, those are special cases, at least for other schools. But they do need some time to process some applications to draw some inferences about what the class can look lie

This is a great point. Something they can do now that they no longer bank on early admissions candidates. I’m sure they’re taking advantage of this because my Chinese applicant for round one was told that she was not being waitlisted, but they needed to see what round two looked like before offering an interview. I’m not sure how this is going to work out for them because she already has a deposit down at another M7 but there it is. Shows how much they want to see the bigger picture before they make choices.
