2nd deposit deadline was Friday. Assume WL will hear this week as spots have opened up. I know a few people personally who have chosen to pursue other schools.

A friend asked for it. He shot the admissions director a message explaining why but he medical reason. So long as you have a solid reasoning they should work with you for a 1 year deferral;
