Applicant from Europe here...no zoom link...yes on the portal change (though it seems not that relevant from what Ive read, just adding to the data). I take it all the zoom links are going out in a batch right? Any chance of getting good news via the portal tomorrow without it?

Stop scaring people, a lot of internationals during the EA round got emails in the morning of the day and a lot of domestic students got calls on the day.

Someone from R1 was admitted without a zoom call. Said that afterwards, adcom said that the absence of a call was an error on their part. So the chances of getting good news tomorrow are slim to none. I'm genuinely curious as to what I did wrong though. Would love to schedule a call with adcom to figure out what aspect of my profile is lacking. Congrats to all the admitted folks. Enjoy Charlottesville!

UVA does not have a policy to call everyone. Plenty, not just a few, did not receive calls in R1. For those who didn’t receive one today, take a look at those who did. Numbers seem fairly small. There will be good news tomorrow

Could somebody who knows what they are talking about and not speculating make a comment on the following:

1. How late could they call a US, west coast based applicant today
2. How early to how late could they call tomorrow
3. Will they call everyone in the US who is accepted? Most people? Totally random, could be anything?
4. When will the portal be updated tomorrow with your official status.

I am see mixed messages here and it is driving me nuts

I hope my answer will make you feel better.

1. It is still possible to receive a call tomorrow morning.
2. Before noon
3. I did not receive a call because of some systemic errors and still got accepted via the portal (though it is unusual but it happened before from the info I got from clear admit)
4. I checked around 11:30 AM E.T and the status was updated already.
