AFAIK Darden guides the waitlist applicant in what they can do to strengthen their chances. They do stay in touch. So I guess it should not be that difficult

Not sure how easy it is, but if we look at last year’s stats - there is abt ~4% chance of convert.

Darden does offer a waitlist meeting to discuss what you can do to improve. I HIGHLY recommend you listen to them in those meetings and take to heart those recommendations

Just be yourself in the meeting. Nothing to really prep for. They’re there to inform you why you were waitlisted and things you can do. My only real advice, aside adhering to all recommendations made, is to be enthustiatic and show that you really want to be at the school. The waitlist managers take notes and keep track of who is staying in touch with them, who is listening to their advice, who sends thank you emails, ect. So be aware that they do pay attention to details at this stage

nightblade354, Is there any way for rejected candidates to find out the reason(s) for their rejection? That’ll be quite helpful in the application next year.

nikon-wielder, I’m not sure. You might be able to submit a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request because it is a public University
