The Darden Early action results comes sometime in october but there is a deposit of 4000$ to be payed by Dec1st if admitted, But this is way before the results of other round 1 schools would be released (Dec 10). Is there any way to avoid this situation? So that we can compare the decisions of other schools before saying yes to darden?

The purpose of Early Action is to make your choice before Round 1 decisions, otherwise the school is at a loss.

*Reapplicant after 6 months - please advise*

I’m planning to reapply to business schools this cycle, just six months after my last attempt (I applied in Round 3 in March). I am planning to reapply to Ross and Darden.

Since my last application, here’s what I’ve worked on:
1. Improved my GRE from 310 → 317
2. Refined both my short-term and long-term post-MBA goals (after working with consultants and reflecting on feedback)
3. Conducted 8 training sessions for aspiring entrepreneurs across Azerbaijan
4. Gained ~200 new customers for my edtech startup over the last 6 months (though growth has plateaued over the last several years)
5. Made resume improvements and clarified my career narrative

On the goals side, I shifted from a broad “PM at Amazon/Google” aim to a more specific plan: PM at an edtech company like Khan Academy or Duolingo, with structured processes, strong collaboration, and scaling strategies — areas I know I need to grow in, since they’ve been my main limitation in scaling my own startup.

So here are my main questions:
1. Do these improvements feel significant enough (or even overly optimistic in a way that diminishes their value) to strengthen my profile in just 6 months?
2. Has anyone heard anyone reapplied so soon and actually seen success?

I have also been thinking about this lately, what if you get into Darden for the EA and you don’t pay the 4k deposit then decide to go with another school, are there any consequences legelly?
