The Forté Foundation is a partnership between leading companies and top business schools working together to increase women’s access to education and business networks, as well as motivate young women to pursue leadership positions. Forté recently featured Darden alumna Carolyn Miles (MBA ’88) in their Women of Leadership Profiles. In the article, Carolyn discussed her path from majoring in animal behavior as an undergraduate to pursuing her MBA and eventually being promoted to President and CEO of global non-profit Save the Children. When asked if her MBA was applicable in the non-profit environment, Carolyn responded: “We work in 120 countries; we have 24,000 people who work for Save the Children around the world; we’re a 2 billion dollar operation globally. In those ways all the things you need for a global business you need for an organization like Save the Children.” Read more about Carolyn Miles and her role as President and CEO of Save the Children on the Forté Foundation website. |
