You will only get dinged if your hair is baby blue. Royal blue will get you extra points, especially during the week when Duke plays UNC.

interviewed with a 2nd year student over the telephone yesterday night (international applicant)....she was nice and friendly....she took control of the interview on many occasions in the sense that she didnt let me speak too much and overshoot her time constraints....but other than that, it was great...it was quite by the book, but she probed a lot on many topics that i mentioned like my career path, goals, etc....there were also a few basic questions about my leadership experience and failures, etc....

all in all, it was a strong interview and i expect a positive result...it ended on a high since i asked her about her holidays and all and she was pretty impressed by that...

fingers crossed... ;)

yup...r1 applicant...i got the call on 12/17...i think tht was the deadline for r1 interview invites...so it was like clockwork...i had to conclude me interview by 01/14..but my interviewer was on leave until yesterday and so managed to complete it late...now have to wait till 01/31 till the final results...

Does anybody know when exactly decision will be available? Do they call or just update the status?

if u dont get interview invites by the deadline, then yr chances of getting admit are definitely low...but schools do invite candidates after the deadline..so there is stil hope...and if u get wl, then also u have a chance in the subsequent rounds...in tht case u need to think abt yr priorities...

no no..i meant it varies over the rounds...like r1 success rate is usually more than r2...also years as in which year you apply..if there are a lot of strong applicants, maybe interviews will be more but the number of admits is the same....so it varies a lot...but u can aprrox it to 50%...

I'm a current student at Fuqua. You will be notified of your status (interview, WL, ding, etc.) by the school on or around 2/5. Do not assume that a lack of communication indicates a certain outcome.

If you are awaiting whether you have been admitted. A bunch of Fuqua students and staff all get together and try to call all of our admitted students on the decision day(s)--occasionally international admits may not be called because of extreme time zone differences but will still be emailed and shipped an admissions packet ASAP.
