Hey! I have heard that EA’s probability is higher. But it will serve you no good if your application is hasty and messy. Keep the binding agreement of EA in mind as well and then make a decision.

..what happens if we don’t go to the university after selecting the binding option.. will they take any legal action?

They can..but probably they won’t... and also from humanity point of view, why take someone else’s spot who has decided that they will go to duke if given a chance... apply in EA if and only if you are 100% sure that you will join the school.. If not R1 is good enough. With a strong application admission in R2 is possible!

One difference is the scholarship amount.. if you are looking for schools that give you max scholarship amount, then applying in non binding rounds would be a good option

Hi, is it mandatory to have the LOR from a professional contact in the current company or an LOR from ex-supervisor will also do?

Current supervisor is preferred. You will have to explain the reasons for not getting an LOR from current supervisor in the optional essay

Hi Innes I think LOR from anyone is fine with whom you had working experience as long as its not personal address. What do you mean by "preference" . Is it a thing that only current employers should give LOR or that current employers LOR is "preferred"? Am I missing something?

Innes is right.. For most B schools LOR should come from Current supervisor, if its not possible to submit one, then it should be addressed why you chose someone else as your LOR..It is available in the FAQ section for almost all schools

It can be from previous supervisor if you just started working somewhere or in a new role. That period should be less than 6 months
