only anecdotal but a friend made it off the waitlist and was offered an interview. He retook his GMAT and got 20 points higher, and showed a lot of outreach by attending events and speaking to adcom, alums and students. He was not able to convert the interview, but the fact that he went from EA waitlist without interview to R1 interview invite is heartening in itself. Good luck to you!

@dheerajkaushik90 Thanks a lot buddy. I’ve heard these mails almost never materialize into an interview invite later but let’s see. :)
Anyone here who has more idea about this? Is it worthwhile reaching out to the adcom with some feedback or next steps per se?

Lol typing on the phone messed up the formatting but hope it’s useful to OP.

@burnermba64 Haha no worries at all. Thanks a lot for sharing this anecdote. So I did attend a lot of events before submitting my EA application, spoke to like 8-9 alumns. Infact, I am attending another session tomorrow and the Mock Class on October 14th. Basis your anecdote, shall I reach out to the AdCom, asking for next steps on my application for e.g. improving GMAT, etc.? or stay put until further email by October 14th, when they release the final admits.

Any idea on whether Fuqua places the ones without interview in early round on waitlist or reject them ?

I heard from an alumni that many people who weren’t invited to interview in early round were invited in round 1. Is this a common occurrence or a rather rare ?

you are NEVER REJECTED until u get a formal Email from them. So to answer you , they might consider your profile in future

yes.. thats common.. because of the volume of applications. And such a top ranked school providing application fee waiver

And what about Fuqua’s stand on GRE ? I submitted both GMAT 730 and GRE 335. Is there a chance that my Gmat score can potentially raise questions ?

Once you crossed a potential score the profile matters not the score the score will play again a role during the admission decision

And 335 converted to GMAT is more than 750

I had applied in the EA round however couldn’t submit the GMAT score while applying so now my application has been moved on to R1. I have to submit it until 27th Oct, 2021. My open interview slot has been booked for 28th of Sept. Having not submitted the GMAT score will have any negative impacts???
