Any international EA round hear back from the admission???

I am sure there are many EA applicants out here (including me) who were invited for the off-campus interview but I dont think we will hear back from them until around Dec 16, if that's what you are referring to.

I'm confused. Do you mean that you were invited for off-campus interview already?

Yes. I had my interview at Mumbai, India on Nov 3rd, when the ad com members came there for a Tuck event. There were few others who were interviewed on the same day. In addition I know that some folks had their interview at Hyderabad, India a week back.

I guess they are conducting these off campus interviews based on the when and where they are conducting their events.

Now if you are a US applicant I am not sure how it works for you.

Has anyone heard, or seen any indication of EA/RD 1 application volume trends...2011 v. 2012?

Looks like GMATCLUB EAs dropped from 74 to 68...think that's representative?

Well the overall application volumes for this season are down. You may want to refer the Gmac website which says the application volumes for Full-time MBA are down by 2/3rds.

This was the case last year as well but Tuck's volume was up. The acceptance rate went from 20% to 18%. It's hard to gauge what the volume is but don't count on it being too low.

The 2/3 drop you are referencing is 2010 v. 2011 (ie, people applying to start in fall 2010 v. people applying to start in fall 2011). This doesn't apply to the current application season.

Visited Tuck today and had my interview. Absolutely loved it there. Everyone's enthusiasm is contagious, and it was clear that the students are very happy with Tuck and Hanover.

Looking forward to applying in January.

If anyone needs any tips on getting to Hanover/where to stay/eat/etc feel free to PM me. I had flown into NJ for a wedding and rented a car to drive up the day before my scheduled visit.

Yes in my case Tuck events were scheduled in India. I guess there is an option to have skype or phone interviews for others if the ad com so wishes.

For those emailing scholarship applications to Tuck, are you able to attach the filled in application pdf to the email. For me, the error states that no filled information will be saved in the attached file.

How to go about emailing the application?

dude, try the following:
1. print it.
2. scan it
3. send it.

Sounds like a Daft Punk song :)

Haha, nice. I'm actually in Hanover right now prepping for my interview tomorrow. That made me smile and feel like I wasn't completely alone, sitting in a Super 8 Motel room that smells like dead fish (Not sure if all the rooms smell like this or not, and I can't say I would recommend this place)

Haha wow. Glad I stayed somewhere else. I spent Sunday night at the Norwich Inn and interviewed Monday. Good luck tomorrow!

The interview is really casual and low-stress. Everyone is incredibly welcoming so I'm sure you'll feel much better on campus tomorrow.

On a side note - anyone know if it's acceptable/recommended/not recommended to ask your interviewer for feedback on the interview itself?

I can't speak for business school interviews, however if a candidate I was interviewing for a job at my firm asked immediately afterwards how the interview went I don't think it would go over very well. While it's a relatively casual interview, it's still an interview. I personally feel that you can't improve your chances by asking and there is the possibility that you will hurt your chances. I would however be happy to hear from anyone within adcom in regards to how they feel about this.

Guys

Tuck is a bit different with practically four rounds.

Is R3 in Jan a suicide?

Or is it their R2..?

Posted from my mobile device

This is a good question. I can tell you, with certainty, that a lot of students apply in the January round. This is because Tuck's early action and November round are kind of a "merged first round". In fact, a brunt of the applications that Tuck sees come in two rounds: the early action round and the January round. So, to answer your question, applying in the January round is NOT suicide, but rather the norm for a large majority of applicants.
