Do not consider UW MBA anymore. It now has a strange participation policy. Even if you're sick (or for whatever reasons), missing more than two sessions will cause 0.1 GPA decrease for each missing session (this is a policy for the entire Foster MBA) Honestly we don't care about GPA that much, But this is just one sign of leadership failure and dictatorship.

Hi guys
Hope to seek some advice here. I’m considering pivoting into the tech industry (without engineering background) and deciding between Foster and Kellogg for my MBA. Kellogg, without a scholarship, would cost me an extra $100K, but it offers more resources, and I’ve heard that some core roles only recruit from M7 schools. The overall experience also seems stronger. I’m slightly leaning toward Foster since it would ease financial pressure, though I feel like passing on Kellogg might be a missed opportunity...
Would love to hear your thoughts🙂
Class attendance really differs based on school and down to each professor. I had very strict professors for some classes and then others who couldn’t care less.
I know some of the top programs classes don’t matter much and you can skip a lot but I feel as you go lower and down and rankings, they try to enforce class policies a lot more such as foster...
I’m not really sure I have a strong take on it. Your GPA doesn’t matter a whole lot unless you have a scholarship in that case if your GPA goes below three, you may lose your scholarship... this seems like an odd policy. I wonder if this is a policy for the entire university and driven by the undergrad or is this business school only?
