Does anyone, invited for interview from India, has received any email from Dan? I guess he is supposed to be one setting interviews with Alumni in India. It's been two days already and the email mentioned that we will hear from him within 3 days.

I'm in Africa but heard back from the adcom yesterday. They would like to schedule my skype interview either this weekend or early next week. Very quick turnaround on this.

People who have applied in ED, do you all use a consultancy service for the application or are there people who do it themselves?

I definitely do think that a better GMAT score always helps but that being said, Fuqua has a more holistic approach to their applications.
You'll definitely need to bring out the 'Why Fuqua' aspect in your apps along with how you can really contribute to their community.

Hope that helps :)

Hi all!
Firstly, congratulations to all interview invitees. Please do share your experience in terms of the questions asked and answered with the forum.
Also, how did you all address the 'Which other MBA colleges are you applying to question?' Is this a trick question and should I be careful about the same?

Regards,
Shruti

I had my interview last night with a 2Y, "Admissions Fellow." The interview was very conversational, and felt more just like interacting with a friend than anything else. My interviewer was very personable and I really enjoyed the interaction. All the basic questions were asked; here's a snapshot below:

- Walk me through your resume.
- Why MBA
- Why Fuqua
- Short term goals
- Time you received constructive criticism
- Time you failed
- What does a typical Saturday look like?
- What's the most important part of being on a team?
- What activities do you want to get involved in at Fuqua?

Don't be stressed about the Duke interview- it's actually a lot of fun. Good luck!

Thanks so much for this! It definitely sounds a lot less daunting than some of the other b-school interviews and very relaxed! Great to hear that you had a wonderful experience.
Could you elaborate a bit on your profile? Aspects like your nationality, GMAT score, work exp etc?

Thanks for the prompt reply! Really appreciate the same. Fuqua is definitely a great school for Military folks and you definitely seem to have a real good profile as well. If your interview was really a breeze as you make it sound, you stand a good chance at Fuqua my friend :)

On a complete side note, do you by any chance know the length requirements of the questions put forth for the Fuqua recommendations?

Are you referring to LoRs? If so, I'm not certain there is a length requirement but both of my recommenders wrote a letter that was just over 1 page in length.

Yes, the requirement is 10 point double spaced font with a maximum length of 2 pages. I think your recommders will see this instruction in the email.

Why would it be a trick question? They expect applicants to apply to more than one school, unless you applied in the early cycle.

I do agree, but I wouldn't mention that you applied to H/W/S, as they may think that Fuqua might not be your first choice. This is why I like EA- as it gives the school confirmation that you are interested in the program and will attend if admitted.
