For those invited yesterday...

Can we just talk for a second about how damn quick the on-campus interview spots were filled up?!?!? I decided last night that I wanted to attend the HBS-hosted events on Feb 19, then interview in the morning on Feb 20th. I guess everyone else had the same idea....within 6 minutes after the web portal opening, both Feb 20 and March 6 were completely full. By the time I had time to react and hit refresh, Feb 27th was filled. I ended up settling for a Thursday afternoon interview on Feb 19th....but jesus, they went quick. I just checked...right now (less than 90 minutes after becoming available), the only available on-campus dates are Feb 12 and 13. Anybody else have a similar experience?


I agree - the available spots were filled incredibly quickly. I had to go to my second choice time slot because the first one was already taken in the first minute, but I am getting paranoid that my second sign up wasn't recognized because I still haven't received an email confirmation (which they indicated would be sent).

Has anyone received an email confirmation yet? Trying to determine whether my registration went through or not.

My email confirmation came pretty much right away. Might be worth a call....

I would definitely give them a call. I signed up in the first 30 seconds of it going live and got an email less than a minute later.

Good luck, everyone! Maybe I'll see some of you on campus for interviews on 3/6.

Yeah, the interview slots did fill up insanely quick. I made the mistake of setting my alarm to wake up 2 minutes before it went "live", which was a mistake (computer boot up took more than 2 mins, lol). So I wound up taking one of the Feb 12th slots. I'll be in the Boston/New England area that whole weekend, so if anybody wants to meet up (applicants or current students), just let me know! Good luck to everyone interviewing!

depends what you mean by little. I think there will be 50-70 2+2 invites in that batch, but I am just making this up based on 100 or so 2+2 admits total which means ~180 2+2 total interview invites over several 2+2 rounds. The ~180 total 2+2 interview number per year is semi-solid, how that breaks out per round is more speculative.

Happy Superbowl Sunday all. Question I'm hoping someone might be able to give some advice on. I was an original Round 1 applicant, and in the time since applying last fall I received a significant promotion, as well as relocating cities as part of it to lead a new opportunity. Obviously this is information I'll want to make them aware of. My understanding is Harvard interviews are very resume-based, walk through your experience. Since they have my previous resume before the promotion, any advice on how to approach this? Obviously it can be verbalized in the interview, as well as details on projects that have occurred since, but should I try and provide them with an updated resume?

I assume many will have updated resumes with new info, so curious to the thoughts of those here on how to approach. Thanks in advance.

Hi Stang523,

If I were you, I would definitely provide them an updated resume. I had a similar experience with applying to MBB internship last year. (I know, not HBS) I filled out an application in September of my junior year and interviewed only in January. My interviewers had my old resume; however, I have improved my GPA since then and had a cool internship during my fall semester. I gave each of my interviewers an updated resume during our interview, and talked about what I have improved since my application.

Later, when I started my internship in the summer, I met one of my interviewers. He said that when they were evaluating candidates, my updated resume was the reason to give the spot to me.
