Hello Guys,

I was lucky to be accepted into the program. I would like to share my interview experience. It was 50 minutes in Madrid.

- Tell me about your academic and professional background, in general.
- Why an MBA and why now?
- Your immediate goals after the program and the long term ones?
- If you are to choose 10 people to live with you in an isolated island, what professions would you pick?
- what is inflation?
- who is adam smith?
- what is the GDP of your country?
- what is 12*12-10?
- who is the president of China?
- What languages do you speak?
- what is 279/6?
- If you have the chance to meet famous person, dead or alive, who would be that person? and why?
- How will you be financing your study?

I was just myself and straightforward. It turned to be good interview, and have received the offer on Monday.

The interview was on July 5th.
The interviewer was an adcom, she was very nice person, down to earth, and clarifying everything. I have done three successful interviews so far, and she was the best.

Seems you were quite productive being admitted to INSEAD, IMD and IE. Would be great to hear from you the final decision, since I was initially looking at exactly these 3 schools to apply for MBA.

It is a tough call. Every one of them is just terrific. I am absolutely sure that I can not go wrong with anyone of them. However, in my humble view, it is largely depends on the applicant's own goals and what he/she is looking for out of the program. I work in the technology sector and there is no strong intention to change the industry or geography. From my initial search over the web, it seems to me that IE is a bit better in this area. From the placement and class statistics, there is a good number from the Telco/IT/tech business. The school offers a good master in business analytics and big data. The IMBA curriculum has the option to concentrate in the big data during the lab period. INSEAD is very known as consulting school. IMD excels in manufacturing. Therefore, I would argue that it is really depends on the individual objectives. At the moment, I am leaning toward IE, I just felt comfortable when I visited the campus and I felt the "cozy" feeling there. I should clarify that I am an employed and will be in a sabbatical, so from career pointview I am quite relaxed. I am not a big fan of ranking, as I know it does not really matter that much if a school ranked 2 or 5 or 7. At the end , all are top tier and respected programs. Furthermore, from speaking to my friend, a Mckinsey recruiter, they recruit from all the top schools and the real serous factor is the candidate him/herself, n particular, previous experience, interviews, and scores.

Hi everyone,

Could someone please let me know if a windows laptop is necessary to bring? I have a mac pro and I was thinking to install Parallels in my mac to use microsoft office. I have read reviews regarding Parallels and found that it does the same work which a windows laptop does. Any suggestion much appreciated.

Hi everyone,

There are many students with a Mac in my class. at least 10-15. So don't worry.
