Yeah my interview was 1hr 15min, alot of standard questions, walk me through your resume, what was your biggest challenge, what was your biggest accomplishment. How do you take feedback, whats your leadership style, etc. Some questions about my essays.
I wasnt asked any curveball questions like cats vs dogs, or describe the colour of yellow to someone thats blind. So that was relieving.
Alumni that interviewed me gave some good pieces of advice based off my profile.
Overall it was an enjoyable interview. Good luck!

Can someone advice pls?

I got this feedback for the MBA program; does it mean I can go ahead and apply, or this is just generic reply everyone gets?

I got the same reply, not sure if it is to encourage us to just apply or does it mean we have a good shot

It’s a generic reply. What do you expect them to say? Also the application fee is free money to them

Hello, could anyone please help evaluate my profile : 33 y/o female, south asian, 10 years experience in cybersecurity and governance. 2+ years at a healthcare and wellness startup for senior citizens in India as an Advisor - Data privacy, security and global compliance and 7 years in a big4 consulting firm as a cybersecurity senior consultant (Dubai and india)

GRE- 315 (152V, 163 Q)

Hello QuantumVoyager,

Hope this finds you well.

While you have a strong overall profile, the weakness is really the GRE score; hence, we recommend that you look at improving the same; a higher test score coupled with a set of compelling essays will give you a good shot.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Has anyone here given an interview with an alum already?

Mine was quite conversational. Went on for about 1-1.25 hr, but didn’t feel like it. The alum was genuinely trying to understand specifics about my experiences. Had reviewed the application and was familiar with what I was saying.

Few questions-
1. TMAY
2. What does Diversity mean to you?
3. STG/LTG
4. Why IESE/ Why MBA
5. Have I considered Executive MBA?
6. Backup plan for recruitment/postMBA plans. How did I planned to go about recruiting?
7. Which other places have I applied to?
8. What kind of courses would I like to take at IESE?
9. One challenging instance in the past - mentioned that personal stories would be welcome/appreciated
10. International experience related question
11. Had I spoken to anyone from IESE before the interview?

I got 30-40 mins more with them after the interview. So, spent it asking my own set of questions. The interviewer was open to answering them and even shared some relevant points/advice.

Mine was with an alum as well. They choose someone who either belongs to your current industry or someone who is working in the industry you aspire to join. It went on for 1-1.5 hours. He was very well aware of what I had mentioned in the application and what I had spoken about in the video assessment as well. He just wanted to understand my experiences better and generally who I am as a person.

Questions:
1. Pivotal moments in my life?
2. Tell me what’s not on your resume
3. Why MBA?
4. STG
5. What do you do outside of work/ What do you read about ?
6. How do you feel about your GMAT experience?
7. Alternate short term goal
8. He was interested to know about a challenge I might have come across specifically in one of the projects I had mentioned in my resume

He really appreciated how much I knew about IESE and that I had spoken to multiple people before applying. I had a few questions and we spent 15-20 min on discussing his experiences and how those also resonated with mine.
