I feel like people are not using the MBA sites so much this year, I checked clearadmit (as students we do not know if invites went out or not), but only 1 person posted to "invited to interview" for iese

Either way best of luck

Hello All,

I had my interview on 20th Friday and wished to know if anyone had a rough idea of the # of days that one can expect to wait for an AD invite? And any invites to any candidates for AD yet?

Thanks,
Hemant

Hi Sanjibmiki,

Yes, I am from India.

I am a little confused about the assessment of my interview and is just hopeful to get an invite for AD for now.

It was a short and casual interview of 40 mins and and involved discussions surrounding my expectations of the program and the career path that I foresee post the MBA. The interviewer handles Careers Track at IESE, and hence was more interested in the career plans that I have and the decisions that I took in my career until now.

Don't worry too much about it. Some people get invited to ad some don't, it just depends whether they feel like they know enough about you.

Some people get Interview and ad invite at the same time, others the ad invite later, others no ad invite

If your interviewer was asking you about yourpost MBA plans its most likely cause they felt you weren't clear about those in your application

As per their words: they look for reasons to accept you, not reasons to reject you

Oh...okay... that's helpful.

However, I was reading your posts on lasts year's thread regarding this and was surprised to know that some ED candidates were made to wait till R1 decision deadlines as they were required to complete their AD process with R1 candidates combined. So, does this mean that both ED and R1 applications are pooled in for admission considerations?

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

That was me, and I think I was the only one.

The reason for this was that I was a reapplicant, and they wanted me in AD, which, thanks for reminding me, wasn't possible since ED doesn't have AD, so you shouldn't expect to get an AD invite

Oh, so there is an interview and then directly the final AdCom review for ED candidates... So should I expect only a final AdCom decision due on 19th/18th Oct, the decision deadline?

Thanks for the heads up.

I got the 2nd interview call from IESE today, to be held with the admissions director of the region. I was not hoping for this twist. But some people in the past years have had similar process of 2 interviews. So, I should have seen it coming given that AD is not held for ED applicants.

Interesting. Are you done with the second interview? If not, best of luck and when is it scheduled?

I haven't got an invitation for a second interview or an AD invite. I thought I had a pretty decent process interview though to be fair. Let's see what happens. The opacity of the process is beginning to unsettle me-but I suppose it is more or less a universal experience.

I might be a little jumpy here, but how long does IESE take to get back to you with their interview decision after the deadline?

You should hear back from them before the deadline. If I'm not mistaken the deadline for this year's ED is October 18th.

Normally decisions are communicated early in the week, however with us first years having career forum món-we'd, im not sure if that will change the communications schedule.

I know it's useless saying this, since I didn't sleep the Sunday before decision week, but try to relax. Best of luck

Thanks for the details! Though, being a R1 applicant means I am going to have a few more edgy days.

Hey Folks!

Any idea how long it typically takes for the adcom to sent an interview invite post the application deadline? Applied in R1. Eagerly awaiting a notification.
