Some key points for Extempore for IIMA Interview:
1) Think before you speak: Always take 1 minute to structure your thoughts. The interviewer might already give you time to think, but ask if need be.
2) Opinions over facts and figures: The interview panel is looking to hear your opinion, so do not start stating facts and figures. This is not a rote learning competition but is used to judge your ability to think analytically and originally and finally, put that in clear, crisp sentences.
3) Do not get scared: There will be questions and counter-opinions; be prepared. Defending your thinking helps; but being too strong-headed doesn’t.
4) Communicate your ideas effectively and convincingly: Always structure your ideas in a way that the listener is focussed and pays attention to all that you have to say. Be concise, and do not ramble.
