Hi
amitsahoo97 The solid IIT pedigree definitely works in your favor. What specific roles have you held at ONGC? The competition is particularly tough for government/PSU candidates, and IIM A will need to be convinced of strong differentiation areas to offer you that admit. Keep in mind, IIM A has even waitlisted some impressive PSU candidates in previous round, so your prospects will depend heavily on how you stand out. What goals did you present during the interview, and did the panel delve into deeper discussions about them? (That’s usually a positive indicator.)
I hope you’re applying to other programs too because with IIM A’s limited 100-something seats, it’s good to keep options open.

Appeared for interview on 16th Nov for IIMA PGPX which went okayish. They were grilling hard in extempore and work ex. But I did manage to give answers in all.. kuch m satisfactory thaa and kch m they crossed and I agreed to their points also. But they had no reactions as such jisse I could predict anything.. they were smiling also and normally discussing it also..
My extempore topic was
Should India mimic the western consumerism in order to achieve its sustainable objectives.
Prof. Sunil Sharma and Prof. Swanand Deodhar were there in my panel.
Any luck/chances for the final admit?
