Guys thanks for the response.

Do I at least need to start the application process before sending the scores or
I can just send the scores right away from MBA.com ?

I can vouch for Priyanshi as she helped me create a detailed score improvement plan for GRE down to the nitty gritty.
You won’t be disappointed with her insights into the admission process
I too had a call with Priyanshi a week back regarding IIMA interview. As she has recently graduated from IIMA, she had the latest insights to the interview and the college in general. One feedback that she gave about the interview was that usually the interviewers decide in the first 10 mins of the interview to select or not..hence the extempore is very critical element.

I had a stimulus on D Gukesh regarding whether his win was extraordinary or not.

1. Prepare for the extempore which is one of the critical part of interview. Mostly current affairs are asked.

2. There will be mostly 2 profs in the panel. One will play bad cop and the other good cop. They will grill you on your CV, essays and work experience. So, be thorough with everything that you have written.

3. If you have mentioned any numbers in your CV, they can ask you for the justification regarding that number.

4. Prepare questions : ’Why do you want to do an MBA’? ’Why now’? ’Why IIMA’? ’Why PGPX’. They can ask any question out of these 4.

5. Give 3-5 mock interviews before the D-day. Maintain eye contact, posture and answer with full confidence. And that is pretty much it. Also, DO NOT LIE in the interview as profs will catch you in a second.

Hi,
GMAT score is just one of the factors. if you are above the average score projected in the PGPX brochure, you are good to go. IIMA gives a lot of impetus on the interview process, especially the extempore. Admission as well as scholarship depends a lot on the interview.
Questions related to job profile would be from the essays, so please be sure as to what the content is, with special focus on achievements and challenges.
The interview environment is quite comfortable, I found it to be better than other panel interviews of other top Indian and foreign B schools. IIMA panel will make you feel comfortable.

So, yes, please dont stop your application if GMAT score is average. I know people who have converted with just about 600 (Classic edition score).

Best wishes
