10th - 8.6 cgpa, 12th - 90.4%, undergrad - Delhi University - 6.57 cppa, gmat score - 700 classic edition, total 7 years of work ex. 3 years as marketing manager in a manufacturing company, 1.5 years as an associate ( business analyst ) at hcl for client Google, and 2.5 years of entrepreneurial work ex as I started my own fine dine restaurant. Apart from this I have a couple of NGO work ex and couple of certifications one in Business Analytics and one in Investment banking from IIM Calcutta. May I know what is the scope for pgpx. It would be a great help.
These are bare minimum details and only a generic analysis such as class gmat average(700 is just below average but there are always candidates who made it with much lower score) might be scratching the surface without the School/Univ/Org/NGO names, details of the entreprenuerial journey.

IIM A has 49% reservation as well, may be the GMAT score is a bit skewed because of that, so not sure if 645 is a good score for general category.

I think 310-315 is fine
Right on the profile based evaluation part. Score can be from 315 to 320

How to approach B-school essays/SOP?
Short answer: They should be like hashtag#SSRajamouli movies’ trailer leaving the admissions committee craving for more

ESSAY TIPS
0. Understand the Question asked and its purpose
1. Narrate a genuine story from your professional journey (avoid personal stories as much as possible)
2. Set up the context with an introduction paragraph not too long
3. Detailed body and precise conclusion
4. Avoid fundamental mistakes such as spelling and grammar
5. Write in an active voice and in 1st person (trust me I have seen people who refer themselves in 3rd person)
6. Keep in mind the word limit but provide details
7. Essays give a peek into your profile, and use that to set up the interview panel
8. Send a message about what you will bring to the Institute/cohort
9. Avoid run-on sentences, keep them concise, and convey the story clearly
10. Insinuate the reasons/qualities "why they should offer you a seat?"
11. Do not project subjective and cliched qualities. Have unique stories
12. Get your essays/SOPs/resumes/LOR reviewed......

Younger, non-Engineering profile, CA+, Big4+, Tabla+ --- But you might be applying Round 2 which closes on Nov 24th. Keep that in mind. Anything above 645+ should work for PGPX due to your profile

Yes, you should give it a shot, we have had professionals even with ~16 years experience also getting selected. Every profile is unique, we actually can't compare one with the other, but rest assured, if you are well prepared you definitely can crack the IIMA PGPX.

All the best

anubhav2591
I have a experience of 10 years in Oil and Gas . CTC Around 35 LPA, B. Tech from NIT, GATE AIR 91, Worked in Operations, Projects, Maintenance, Sales.
