While applying for PGPX of IIM Ahmedabad and choosing the preferred location for interview, Portal is mentioning we encourage you to come to Ahmedabad. What are the implication of this? My nearest location is Delhi? Should I opt for Ahmedabad as my first preferred location?

Choose any city nearest to you! No need to prefer Ahmedabad

Any idea what historically has been the breakup of admits btw R1 and R2
The college claims that equal seats are distributed in each round. However, what we have seen over the years is that competition level gets more intense in later rounds.
Reach out if you need guidance in applying to R1. We have last few slots open.

More details on your goals, leadership experience, and co-curriculars would help. ZS is a good feeder and the score, while decent, might do well with a jump of 20 to 30 points depending on the schools you are targetting. Feel free to DM or 9619551984 to discuss in dertail

Hi RishabhUpadhyay, Decent academics and score. Work experience in data strategy and statup experience will be valued by the college. Also, its important to understand the quality of work to completely understand the profile. If you can highlight them, along with any extra curriculars then it will help even better to understand more about your profile. Overall, a good profile with realistic chances of selection.

Would you have 4 yrs work exp as of March 2026 or is it 4 yrs as of now?
Your profile is good, life sciences and pharma experience, especially in strategy consulting and analytics will help u set apart from others. There are not too many candidates who get in with 4 yrs of exp at IIMA, but a strong application, impressive essays will make the required difference to get you a seat!
Reach out if you need help in your application or essays!

Was the freelance stint right after graduation or concurrent with Tiger Analytics?

In case of the former scenario, freelance work before full-time experience can raise mild concerns about direction and professional maturity. It will need to be shown strategically as being consistent and with clear deliverables, measurable impact, and strong client relationships.

The shift from Health Tech to current position also needs to be justified well.

If concurrent, was your employer aware?

For these reasons, your essays will need to be quite nuanced to underline rationale behind your career choices. What is your post-MBA goal? Does it tie up?

Anything beyond AISEC? Imho it doesnt have the same pull it used to have many years back.

Hi everyone,
I’d appreciate your thoughts on my profile for PGPX.
Profile Snapshot:

Work Experience: ~4.5 years as a product manager in two of the big MNC’s
Current Role: Leading SaaS product development
International Experience: 3 international internships ( 2 in Research universities and 1 in a startup ) all 3 US Based.
Extra Co-Curr
Short-Term Goal: Transition into a strategic product leadership role
Long-Term Goal: Grow into a Chief Product Officer (CPO) role
GMAT: (GMAT FE 555 - Had given earlier without any prep because i had to move to and fro in europe due to corporate work)
Would love to hear how this aligns with typical admits and what I could do to strengthen my chances. Thanks in advance!
