I have a doubt with respect to the application process. In the Education section, we have to upload documents related to our graduation. Is the scanned copy of the consolidated marksheet and degree certificate is fine? or should we get the transcripts from the university and upload those only?

There is an SOP for 500 words as part of the application. There is another prompt for Optional essay, but use that ONLY if you have something to showcase.

Yes, a mandatory Statement of Purpose is required to be submitted.

∙ You may use SOP to highlight who you are, your career path so far, your professional interests and your future goals.
∙ Statement of purpose should be between 300 to 500 words.

There is space for an Optional essay too

You may use this optional essay to high light anything else in support of your application. This can also be used to address anything unusual in your profile like poor academic performance in a specific semester/class or any gap in your work experience.
This optional essay should be within 300 words.

No, Cal does not ask for a resume, I feel this is a substitute for it. Please mention your key responsiblity areas.
Scope of SOP is much bigger - it’s our entire story, we we are, what we did and what we want to do.

If you’re aspiring towards placement opportunities in one particular sector post MBA (say, IT and IT enabled services), is experience in that particular sector (pre-MBA) preferred by the recruiters?

Since most offers are made by IT and ITeS companies, can ’not having a background in IT’ mean that you’ll be left out of their recruitment exercise?

In short, can you switch your industry post MBA?

1. Is the prior exp in relevant sector preferred? - Yes,

2. Will we be left out? - Not sure, there ways to get in, like showing some proven work in the sector or certifications

3. Industry shift can happen.

Hi, I have a project management professional having 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry. I have international exposure of approx. 9 months in 2 different countries.. GMAT score is 680.
How effective it will be if I will apply in R2 application for IIMA or IIMC, since I am not ready with ESSAY writing as of now.
