I currently have a full-time job and applying in round 2. The session for 2021 Intake will start in April 2021 and the announcement of selected candidates will be on 26Feb 2021. The notice period in my company is 3months. Should I resign after (if) I am selected or resign now and take back my resignation in case of no selection?
3 months is on papers. After showing your confirmed admission, company may release you within a month. But, they would find excuse not to pay you for leaves.
if your manager/supervisor is friendly ,talk to him/her. Send him one mail that you would like to resign ,but don't resign in the system. Later on this mail can be used as a reference of 3 months notice period. In such a case, you will not lose pay out of your pending leaves. It will only work if your manager/supervisor supports you.
