1. Your GPA looks a bit low, any reasons e.g. was it down during certain semesters? A strong GMAT score (ideally 665-675+) would help strengthen chances.
2. Your professional experiences in fashion/ retail/ e-commerce and work with global brands present interesting angles. Which companies have you worked in, what roles/ impact, and were there any promotions/ progressions?
3. It'd be crucial to have a strong narrative covering your experiences, transferable skills, career goals, and how an MBA (and particularly INSEAD) would help bridge gaps.
4. Anything on the extracurriculars side? Schools such as INSEAD value this.

Choosing the Right Recommender:
- Professional Context: Opt for recommenders who have observed you in a professional setting, such as a supervisor or a client. They should be able to speak in detail about your work ethic, achievements, and leadership qualities.
- Personal Growth Insight: Someone who has seen your growth over time can add depth to your LOR. They can highlight your development and potential.
- Avoid Titles Over Substance: A recommender’s position matters less than their ability to provide specific, personal insights about you.
Guiding Your Recommenders:
- Provide Context: Share your INSEAD MBA goals with your recommenders. Let them know why you’re pursuing this path and what you hope to achieve.
- Highlight Key Areas: Suggest specific skills or experiences they might discuss, like leadership roles, problem-solving skills, or teamwork.
- Respect Their Time: Give them ample time to write the LOR. A rushed letter might lack depth and fail to make an impact.
What Should the LOR Include:
- Your Professional Qualities: Examples of your leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Personal Characteristics: Traits like resilience, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity, especially in international contexts.
- Growth and Potential: Instances where you have learned and evolved, showing your potential for future success.

Thanks for sharing your profile Devansh15. Congrats on your GMAT score! Your profile shows: execution at scale, collaboration across cultures, interest in ESG, and evidence of initiative.
Differentiation needed: From the large Indian male engineer pool, focus your essays on purpose-driven sustainability work, multinational coordination, and your unique perspective on global ESG innovation in heavy industry.
You already work with global clients, which helps, but if feasible, short-term secondments, client visits, or remote international collaborations can add value. Highlight multicultural teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability in your essays. Deepen ESG focus, consider taking certifications like Sustainable Business Strategy, ESG, and Sustainable Investing, or others.
Clarify your post-MBA vision. You have to be very specific in your essays: “I want to join a firm like BCG’s X division or Deloitte’s Sustainability practice, focusing on helping traditional industries (like steel or energy) transition toward low-carbon operations.” Long-term: “Build ESG strategy within a Fortune 500 or influence policy through partnerships.”
You can use the INSEAD international motivation essay to frame how working with UK/US/China clients exposed you to different values, execution styles, and sustainability standards.
