Hi everyone, as I wait for the ISB results, I got an admit from ESADE. Any suggestions on how I can compare B schools if I get an admit from ISB?
Hi Souri!
Congratulations on the admit! Sharing my perspective as another candidate looking at Indian vs European MBAs, assuming cost is not a barrier.
The biggest question is: Where do you want to work? If the answer is India, ISB will have better short-term placement opportunities in India. Consequently, if you want to work in EU, ESADE will be a much better bet.
Another factor to consider is a 1Y vs 2Y MBA - a 2Y MBA gives you more time to grow and explore different options. Consequently, it keeps you out of the workforce longer, so there’s a higher opportunity cost.
Finally, how much do you value international exposure? If you really want to experience that ISB wouldn’t really be the right answer unless you choose to do an exchange and AFAIK miss your graduation ceremony.
There is, unfortunately, no apples-to-apples comparison b/w the programs, it depends entirely on what you want to get from it. But I hope this can be helpful!
