Offered an admission to the PGP Class of 2024. However, given the current state of the job market, I don’t think joining this year is the best option, since the class of 2024 will be sitting for placements in just ~7-8 months. Does anyone know the deferral process? Do I need to remit the admission fee first, and then risk them rejecting it and forfeiture of the fees? Additionally, how accepting is the adcom of deferral requests?

The process pretty much seems to be sending a request with supporting docs. The reason you stated might not get you the deferral though. The FAQ mentions "extenuating situations" which again doesn’t instill a lot of confidence regarding easy acceptance of deferral. The admission fee is partially refundable and the terms of the same must be present in your offer letter.

I got an offer under the EEO option in R2. Can anyone help me with the date by which I would be required to pay the "commitment fee"? Website says "payable as on date of payment on offer letter", however it's not there in the offer letter (I guess because it's an EEO offer)

Are you talking about the admission fee or the commitment fee here? I remitted the admission fee, but not clear about the commitment fee

I am a R3 applicant from Coal India (PSU) who had interview on 12th Feb.
If you are from renewable sector, then be prepared for questions regarding India's renewable energy challenges and targets such as Net Zero emission, Clean energy target for 2025 etc.
