What are the chances of converting the waitlist? And even if you are waitlisted when do they give the final verdict?
I was waitlisted last year, so please take this with a pinch of salt.
My experience with the waitlist was not that great. They would periodically release a bunch of accepts and rejects. Its very difficult to judge who can break through the waitlist.
I wouldn’t be too optimistic if i get waitlisted :(

As for the timing, i got a reject for on 8th April, a week before the course start.
So you are in the race till explicitly rejected.

You may also try GRE if you don’t see your scores going beyond 700+ after another attempt. I had a 312 (without studying; randomly went straight to GRE centre from office meeting one afternoon), then 323 (2 months prep) and then scored 331 (another 2 months prep). One thing I can tell you that 320-323 is doable in 3 months. 326 onwards would be a tough cookie to crack. I know this might sound like random motivation quote but don’t lose hope. Keep trying.
did you apply through GRE score then? Did you have prior GMAT prep expereince?

Why you got waitlisted have you asked them for the feedback ?

What they told like what to improve like that...

You, have a good Gmat score.
So you have given GMAT again or have applied with same score that you had applied last time ?

waitlist is tough i was in it this year. there were around 150 in our whatsapp group 12-15 ladies converted with round 3 results all other had to wait till 31st march then half were rejected and rest had to wait till 7th april then again lot were rejected and other had to wait till 10th. Then those people selected almost no one. At the same time the batch size was 850 out of max possible around 900. Then the college started on 15 th and 10-15 people converted other M7 schools in may and left.

whatsappppppppppppppppppp

I went with GoalIsB. They are very good. I really found the feedback great, and the guidance was constant. I thought I was a good essay writer, until I realised I was not able to paint a clearer picture of my goals. They helped with that too. I especially was weak in interview prep, and I was prepped very well by them. I was very confident going in and walking out of the interview

I never gave GMAT. When I gave my fist attempt, I knew where I was lacking and that I could improve my score. But a friend of mine switched from GMAT to GRE and scored a 324 in first attempt. And I have read other posts on Reddit and Quora about people switching tests and ding better at it.
However, it’s at your discretion. Do what suits you. Try giving a mock for GRE to check which test you feel you could do better at. There is no preference of one exam over the other in any business school you are applying to. And I mean it when I say this. My friend works with the DEI team in one of the M7’s in the US. He has confirmed it.

Anyone knows why the average GMAT score of the incoming batch this year shot up by 10 points to 720, despite remaining in the 710 range since the inception of ISB? Was the weightage of GMAT increased this year?
