Don’t get impatient guys, we all have waited more than a month, can wait for 2-3 days more

They have got a lot more applications this time, so it takes time for a comprehensive evaluation, so let us allow them to do that fairly

Really? They do not even disclose the exact "decision/result date" and keep spreading false flag dates like 8th November and you expect us to believe that they have disclosed the quantum of applications? How would you know that the delay is due to larger volume of applications and not pure procrastination/incompetence?

What is the general weightage that ISB gives to
academics
GRE/GMAT
work ex
Interview

Is the Interview make or break parameter? Does ISB gives extra weightage to somebody who studied at IIT/NIT or someone who's working in top MNC's?

You don’t need disclosure to understand the quantum of applications, you can easily understand that by just comparing the interview schedule of last year and this year

Interview schedule also depends on alumni availability

Anyway

I don’t know from where on earth this inferences can be drawn :)

and last year they released on 18th Nov, not like they are delaying this time

but the only difference is they are not announcing the exact date

They don’t disclose exactly what % weightage they give to each of the parameters (profile/application, GMAT, work exp, interviews etc), but interviews are not "make or break". For the final shortlist, they make a composite score for every applicant, and the interview performance is just one part of it. Source = former adcom interviewer I spoke to.

On your second query, I don’t think one can draw any conclusion here that "IIT/NIT/Company X= better for application" since everyone ends up getting scored differently regardless. Probably the only safe assumption is that "diverse background = probably slight edge in that parameter"

If you find yourself in a ditch, stop digging. You cannot reach any conclusion unless you know the "Number of interview panels" at all locations for both this year and the last and also the number of "online" interviews both this year and the last.

If you guys are getting into these discussions to kill time and reduce anxiety of the results then all this speculation will have the opposite effect.

1. Nothing you discuss or do at thia stage will impact the outcome. It is (almost) decided

2. No point speculating the dates since ISB’s process isn’t run as seamlessly as other schools who would share the details in advance and stick to dates

3. Have said it earlier, will say it again. Try to stay away from the forum till you get the results, for your own sanity. You will get your communication from ISB whenever the results are out.

4. If you really want to speculate something, what is a good score on the Wankhede pitch that India should aim for today?

They would be disappointed if they don’t get past 350 after this start!

They’re delaying this time, last year interviews started mid oct, whereas this time it started 30th sep that’s like 2 weeks early which should have been the case for results too ideally
