I read on the portal that we can submit our R2 application with our unofficial score card, and email then the official one within two weeks post R2 deadline.

In my opinion, it takes 3 months to prepare well (with 2-3 hours of daily effort). So you should be ready to book an exam date by October end and give the exam by November mid. You should start off with your essays in parallel and spend a couple of hours per week on that so that it doesn’t get overwhelming later on when you are giving mocks and revising for the GMAT.
