Hi Shreya888,

You have a profile that differentiates. So, make the most of this when you are working on your essays.

A 655 is good for BITSOM. We would have liked to see a higher score in so far as the PGP YL is concerned.

All the best!

Hi AkshayVillvalam,

You have a strong target score in so far as ISB is concerned. The stable career graph will be appreciated as well. At this point, besides focusing on your GMAT, look at how you intend to connect the dots in your story. Answer why you need the PGP and what your career goals are. Ensure that there is strong sync between your background and future goals.

We encourage you to take a 7-day free trial to our GMAT course if you are in the process of preparing.

Thanks and all the best!

Hi suya1sh,

In addition to putting forth a set of compelling essays, aim for a 675+ on the GMAT to have a competitive chance - the higher your score, the better it will be. The short-term goal makes sense but do chart out an idea of what this long-term venture is going to be.

Since you are in the process of preparing for GMAT, we encourage you to opt for the 7-day free trial of our GMAT course. You will find it beneficial.

All the best!

Hi agrotechpepper,

No, you do not need to retake the GMAT.

You have consolidating work experience. At this point, focus on putting forth a narrative that brings your strengths together, focuses on the need for PGP, and links your career goals with your experiences.

We encourage you to inquire with us so we can schedule a free strategy session for guiding you.

Thanks and all the best!

AkshayVillvalam - your acads and work-ex look good. A 695+ would strengthen your chances as well. Given your above-than-average work-ex, it'd be important to have a robust narrative covering your experiences, career goals, why MBA and why now.

All the best!

Jenishbalar - Your professional arc looks interesting, given the O&G/ consulting experience, promotions and big-4 brand. Would like to understand more e.g. your role within consulting, key projects, etc. to assess better.

Please try to increase it your GMAT score, particularly Verbal/ DI. ISB's average last year was 675-685, so aiming for a score around that would be ideal.

Regarding other schools, with the current score, USTop-15 and INSEAD/ LBS/ HEC would unfortunately be quite 'Ambitious'. UST15-25 and other EU/ UK programs could be looked at, based on your career goals and geographic preferences. If you do improve the score, chances at Ambitious schools would of course increase.

On extracurriculars, any involvement in activities outside your day job would count e.g. CSR, mentoring, sports, arts, etc.

It’ll be important for you to build a logical connection between your current experience and post MBA goals of consulting and eventually entrepreneurship. You should be very clear with the type of consulting you are looking to pursue and the kind of firm you wish to start in the long term. Given lower graduation score and work-ex tenure also being in the younger bracket, target 685+ to improve your chances. Wishing you the best! You can reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed conversation.
