dhilavikash, You have a very unique experience. Not many station controllers and train operators apply for ISB PGP, so your profile will be different. The high years of experience will add to that uniqueness.

There is good chance to get into ISB. But also explore IIMA, IIMC etc.

Score around 645 will be needed. (Nothing is safe as such, but generally this score helps)

I am currently working in Delhi metro rail corporation as station controller and train operator.
Work experience 13+ years
B.E.(electronic and power) 69.75%
12 - 80.06
10 - 79%
Chances to get into ISB
what is safe GMAT score required
You are over experienced for ISB so that further put a limit to your chances.

While with your 7 years work ex a GMAT score of 645 would have been good, I think you need to reflect your potential to study by getting slightly higher score than 645.

You are instead better fit for IIM-A, B, C and L

so If I were to recommend, I would say try for IIM’s executive program as primary target..

You should target a GMAT score of 655+ keeping in mind that your experience is less than average experience.

vinuthnaaa, Good profile. Rarely people continue with civil engineering core after graduation. You have not only been outstanding in your academics at Mahindra University but also you have a great number of certifications and research papers in the field of sustainability and others. You have in parallel developed the data and language skills too, impressive. IGBC is a well known organization and this experience will definitely be valued.

But since the marks are not that high and Graduation college is not tier I, in addition to the fact that your work experience is not that high, a GMAT of minimum 645 will be needed. But you should aim as high as possible. But anything less than 645 will make the chances of selection much more difficult.

Best Wishes.

Hi all. Would love feedback on my profile.
GPA: 8.23/10 (Rank 5/87) | GRE: 322
4 yrs in Big 4 consulting – fast-track promotions, top ratings, global project exposure
Extracurriculars: LGBT+ inclusion lead, DEI initiatives, pro-bono consulting, mentoring underserved students.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
Hi WA@lsf2682, Good academics, Big 4 experience with fast track promotions. Lots of extracurricular. The profile is good enough for selection.
GRE score is decent, ideally a 325+ would have been better. Try to enhance if possible, otherwise selection can happen at this score with this profile given a decent effort and some luck.
Best Wishes.

Target 655+ at least

And let me tell you that you really need to work hard as your experience is not enough as per ISB’s requirements these days

Hi Viktor28, It will be helpful if you can share which industry or function you work in and what kind of work is that. In absence of that, assuming work experience part, given low experience years but good extra curricular, you can target a 665+.

Thanks Viktor28, for sharing this. Banking client do make life tough, so definitely you will have good story points. Try to work on your GMAT for now and aim somewhere around 655-665 preferably. And this is mostly because of lower work experience years and not the quality or kind of work. Best of luck for your application.

Hi, I have recently given my GMAT and got 615. I am planning to re-attempt since the scores aren’t up to the mark. Should I send my scores to selected schools now? Will I be able to send it again to the same schools after 1 month?

Yes you’ll be able to send both

They have access to the one which mention in the application
   1  ...  80   81   82   83   84  ...  663
