Hello Everyone. It would be great if someone could review my profile and provide some recommendations:

10th - 92% (ICSE)
12th - 90% (ISC)
BTech Civil (Vellore Institute of Technology) - 9.02 GPA
-Vice Chairperson of College Literary Association (2019-20)
-Winner and Top scorer of Inter school Football Tournaments (2015-16)

From 2021 till Date (~4 years + 6 month internship)- Worked with Amazon as an Area Manager in Operations - 2.5 years.
Then after getting promoted, moved to Supply Chain Planning as a Program Manager - 1.5 years*

Also needed guidance on the following (sincerely targeting R1 of ISB):
- When should I schedule the GMAT keeping in mind the time required for LORs/essays?
- What is a good GMAT score for me?
Good academic scores. Amazon’s Ops + Supply Chain experience is valuable and should be leveraged for a strong application. You haven’t mentioned your post-MBA goals, if it is in the realm of operations management then you’ll have a good link with your past work-ex. Apart from application deadline, your GMAT scheduling should also be a function of your current preparedness. In general terms, if your GMAT is wrapped up by July, it will give you sufficient time to work on your application. Aim for 675+. Wish you the best. We are always available at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a detailed conversation if and when you need it.

Hello Everyone. It would be great if someone could review my profile and provide some recommendations:

10th - 6.8 CGPA (CBSE)
12th - 58.6% (CBSE)
B.Tech CSE (Galgotias University) - 6.66 GPA
Stoa School (GMP) - Alt. MBA

- Worked with the MD directly for three years as a paid intern for college, handled content marketing across platforms like Quora,
Linkedin.
-Founder of Marketing Club (2019-20)
-Winner across multiple debate, extempore competitions across NCR (2016-18)
-Co head of Graphex (responsible for designing of entire university’s graphics)

From
2020-2022 - (2 Years) Worked in an Ed-tech (b2c) - 3 promotions during 2 years; from associate to Associate Senior Manager
2022 - 2023 - (5 months) Singapore based Startup (Remote) (SaaS - HR-Tech) - (SDR - UK)
2023-2024 - (11 months) USA, based startup (Remote)(SaaS-Privacy) - (SDR - UK and USA)
2024-2025 - (6 months) Banglore, India (SaaS - Legal Privacy, CLM) (SDR-North America)
2025 - (Currently working) Jaipur, Rajasthan (Pharma Manufacturing) (Founder’s Office)

Also needed guidance on the following (sincerely targeting R1 of ISB):
- What is a good GMAT score for me?
Low scores in school and graduation. Way too many job switches across different industries such as Edtech, SAAS, Manufacturing every few months which will have to be explained in the application/interview. Recent extracurriculars will add some value to the profile. Post-MBA goal isn’t mentioned. Also, your exact role in these firms isn’t very clear. Target a very high GMAT score (715+) to possibly make up for the current gaps in the profile. Happy to discuss in more detail at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in)

Hello Everyone. It would be great if someone could review my profile and provide some recommendations:

10th - 88.3% (ICSE)
12th - 90% (CBSE)
BBA (Strategic Finance) - 7.56 GPA
US CMA - qualified in both parts

Work ex -
2.8 years in Management Consulting at a Big 4 - Worked on diverse engagements across various sectors like energy, pharma, gov tech and space.
3 spot awards, 1 Above and beyond award.

ECs -
Karate Black Belt holder,
President, Student council (2017).
CBSE National Clusters - Football
Finance Head, Entrepreneurship cell, SJU
Event Head for finance events and participant in multiple.
Few volunteering events

Also needed guidance on the following (sincerely targeting R1 of ISB):
- When should I schedule the GRE keeping in mind the time required for LORs/essays?
- What is a good GRE score for me?
Hard to evaluate without a GMAT/GRE but overall profile is fine, no immediate red flags, experience is also within the range expected at 4 years upon matriculation.

You can get the application completed while you prep for GRE because at times people don’t get the target score so they retake multiple times which delays their application.

Decent scores. Work ex also seems good - make sure to highlight your insightful interactions with PE, IB and HF clients. College extra-curricular exposure is diverse, anything else worth highlighting from the last 5 years post graduation? Post MBA goal of "consulting" is quite generic - From your experience in the finance sector so far, you should identify gaps/opportunities which you would want to go deeper into as a consultant post MBA. Target 665+ in GMAT. All the best! We would be glad to discuss your application strategy in more detail at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in)

Decent scores. US CMA qualification would also help provided you leverage it properly in your narrative. If your consulting experience from Big 4 is mostly client facing, that really gives you a diverse set of instances to talk about in your essays/interviews. ECs also seem well thought through. You haven’t mentioned your college and post-MBA goals. Target 328-330+ in GRE. Aim to wrap it up by end of July. You can always have a detailed discussion with ISB alums at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in).

Hello!

I am an IIML passout (batch of 2022 passout).

My brother is looking to apply to the ISB PGP program too but at the moment I do not have a sense of what will be a competitive GRE score to get a shortlist.

Any thoughts?

Best regards,
Priya

Hi Priya, knowing the profile of your brother would have helped.

Just to give some pointers, the average GRE for this year was around 328-329.

All the best.

Hi! Your academic and professional background are strong. Promotions are very important in elevating your competitiveness. Considering you are an engineer by background, you're definitely looking at a target score of 675+. If you are targeting R1 for ISB, realistically, your first attempt should be complete by the end of June. If you need a second attempt, you can take that in July and if for any reason you need to take a third attempt, then latest mid-August. More than 3 attempts within a short span of time are not recommended. Ideally you want to complete your GMAT within July itself. This will give you time to work on your application without too much stress. The application itself will take about two to three weeks alongside work (including all components of the app) but trying to focus on all three (the app as well as GMAT while working full-time) can be unnecessarily stressful and is not recommended.

It might be beneficial to try out a couple of demo classes (also try Magoosh/TPP/EGMAT, etc). Select the one which suits you the best.
