I have primarily been practising with official prep questions to do immediate diagnosis after each question. Unfortunately, this also means that I have already seen many of the questions that may appear in the official mocks :’(

My GMAT is scheduled for 30th July. So far, my mock scores have been:

Expert Global 615 → 655 → 645
GMAT Club 615 → 595

What score should I realistically target for the actual exam, and how should I assess my current level based on my GMAT Club and Expert Global mock scores?

Also, which mocks would you recommend I take between now and the exam?

Personally, I felt that the GMAT Club mocks were tougher. My thought is that practising with tougher mocks might prepare me for the worst-case scenario and, more importantly, help me identify my weaknesses especially in terms of time management. Would you recommend continuing with GMAT Club mocks for this purpose, or should I focus more on Expert Global or other mocks to accurately assess my expected exam score?
Target your best... get your best and then discuss what are realistic chances in target schools.

To be a good candidate in all of the target schools, it would be desirable to get a score 645 or above...

True that GMATClub mocks are tougher but then it has relaxed scoring ... so do NOT take any mock tests (other than taken from mba.com) as true reflection of your expected score they may have some error.

I would anyday recommend that before taking actual GMAT exam, you take official Mock test take pack2 or whatever suits you the best...

If that is the case then stick to GMAT CLUB tests... It’s Di is better than EG while Quant is slightly tougher than actual exam. but still a very fine practice...

The combination of a BBA-then-MBA path, six-plus years of presales and solutions consulting, a side venture, and a food blog is genuinely layered, but the IIM-A/B/K shortlist will read this very differently from how ISB will, and that difference is worth understanding before you finalize your list.

• Your GRE 315 is the sharpest pressure point here. It sits roughly at the Classic GMAT 670 to 680 range, which is meaningfully below the median for IIM-A and IIM-B's international or executive programs, and below ISB's recent median band. A retake targeting 325-plus would shift the conversation considerably.

• The BBA-MBA sequence raises a question adcoms will ask silently: if you already hold an MBA, why a second one, and what does this program give you that the first did not? Your application needs a crisp, non-generic answer to that before it reaches an essay prompt.

• Six years across EY, TCS, and Metricstream is solid tenure, but presales and solutions consulting can read as support rather than ownership. The food blog and the digital marketing venture are actually your ownership story, so bring them forward as evidence of building, not as extracurriculars.

The path forward is real, but the test score and the "second MBA" framing need work before the profile can carry the weight of the target list.

Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed. Contact us directly - submit a query here.

The credit ratings move is the most interesting thing in this profile, and ISB's adcom will likely read it the same way, but the academic record across all three levels is going to require careful handling before anything else matters.

• A 60% in B.Com is below the threshold where ISB's academic index starts to work against you without a compensating signal; the GMAT Focus 675 (roughly equivalent to a Classic 730) is genuinely useful here, but it needs to be the floor, not the ceiling, because the academic weakness means the quant score carries extra weight.
• The Byju's years are tricky right now given the public context around that company; frame the transition to Acuité as a deliberate move toward analytical rigor, not an escape, and make sure the essays show what you learned to do differently rather than what you left behind.
• Handling 10,000-plus crores in debt exposure at a PSU agency is a concrete credential, but "conducted analysis and handled business" undersells it; the essay work needs to name a specific rating decision, the pressure it was under, and what your judgment changed.
• IIM A, B, and C via CAT will weigh academics more heavily than ISB or NUS, so your sequencing of effort matters: a retake targeting Focus 685-plus strengthens ISB and NUS meaningfully more than it moves the CAT schools.

With the right framing around the analytical arc, ISB and NUS are reachable. Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed. Contact us directly - submit a query here.

Hi,

Yes, ISB is a realistic option given your background, and your goal of transitioning into healthcare consulting aligns well with your clinical data curation experience. Your main challenges are your academics (67%/56%) and relatively lower work experience (2.6 years), so you'll need to offset these with a 675+ GMAT Focus score and a strong leadership narrative. Highlight initiatives involving process improvements, ownership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. If possible, apply after completing 3+ years of experience to strengthen your profile. As you approach 5 years of experience, you'll also become a strong candidate for IIMA PGPX (minimum 4 years), IIMB EPGP, and IIMC MBAEx.

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

Your score and work experience combined are not aptly suitable as per average and medians for ISB and HEC so it would be best if you could up your score by 30 points at least.

I have somewhat reservations when someone plan to apply to IE as IESE and ESADE are relatively better choice but job prospect is not very encouraging.

cyaniderGMAT A couple of years ago, I mentored an applicant who got into ISB PGP with two years of experience, and he too came from a supply chain background. The thing that worked for him was that he was able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the supply chain domain, having designed analytical models for various problem scenarios within SC and managed a lot of cross-functional stakeholders. He even got a case question in the interview related to supply chain and operations, but nothing that we had not anticipated or prepared for.
Should you want to discuss your specific case for guidance, feel free to reach out. Aim for a high GMAT score, say upwards of 675.

I work with a lot of ZS/pharma business folks, and the last one I coached went to an M7 and had multiple T10 admits, so the feeder track to top B-schools is very much proven. Since you mentioned you are a reapplicant, I am happy to help you dive deep into your application and understand what may not have worked in your favour. Feel free to reach out personally. Now looking at the stats, there are good signs of progression as well as a defined focus on what seems to be a business growth-focused role. Have you also focused on researching and designing/recommending patient-centric GTM plans, collaborating with caregivers in global markets or was it largely helping design sales incentives? The interesting layers are in the details of the exposure you have had in your projects at ZS, which can help you differentiate yourself from the seemingly generic consulting profiles and become part of the elite group with very deep experience in designing business strategies within the healthcare or pharma space. Please improve the GMAT, that is non-negotiable because ZS is a fairly well represented org at all B schools.

Last year, I mentored someone (see link) who had worked in clinical research, specifically pharmacovigilance, for a long period, and he eventually went to IIM Ahmedabad PGPX, which was better suited to his experience than ISB. To give you an example, the kind of impact he was able to talk about was along the lines of being involved in organ transplant programs, where, through his knowledge and ability to navigate complex regulations, his team significantly increased the proportion of donor lungs eligible for transplantation, giving people on the waiting list a genuine shot at life.
You have relatively less experience, but at the same time, if the impact is there, along with a clear understanding of how you would apply your transferable skills in future roles, then you should be in a good position to make it. Reach out for a detailed discussion.
