Congrats to everyone that seems to have an updated status!

As far as scheduling interviews go, last year we received an email to contact Rebecca in the admissions office to schedule an interview. I'm not entirely sure if the process will change this year given they intend to do rolling decisions.

Scheduling your interview also differed last year for those that were international and that opted to do a Skype interview or do an interview in London versus flying all the way to Ithaca.

I'm sure a communication will come out soon regarding the next steps. Keep in mind that for applicants in last year's round 1, no one got an interview invite earlier than November 5th, so this is really early!

Last year, I interviewed on campus with a second year student, who was a member of the Johnson Admissions Group (JAG). It was a "blind" interview for the most part, with the exception that he had a few notes or questions from the adcom that he needed to have me answer or clarify.

I believe for the most part they were all at once on Nov 4 or 5th.

Have others received invitations to Johnson Means Business (diversity conference Nov 5-6) via phone call?

The office offered to waive the application fee, but I can only afford one more round trip from the west coast to Ithaca (I visited the campus in September before submitting my application).

Wondering if it is reasonable to ask if I can interview during the conference to knock out 2 birds with one stone (assuming I am invited to interview, of course). The conference takes place prior to initial notifications officially coming out (Nov 5-6 vs. Dec 15).

Thoughts?

For Johnson Women in Business weekend, didn't receive a call or a waiver. For JWiB, we have the option to interview, I am guessing it will be the same with JMB.
Btw how do you happen to know the initial notifications go out on Nov 5-6? I was under the impression we get to know on Dec 15th.

I am planning to apply for R2. I just got a phone call from a Johnson student, she said congrats on JWiB and asked me if I have any questions for her. So I told her that I haven't heard anything after I accepted the invitation, so she said she will check with the admission team. I will let you know when I find out more. She also mentioned that interview during JWiB will be a very casual interview, they just want to get to know the prospective students.

Haha sorry for the confusion, I meant that JMB is Nov 5-6 and initial notifications are Dec 15 (as you thought). I will probably call the office back today or tomorrow to inquire whether interviews are being conducted.

Do you mind me asking when did you get the call/email? Thanks appreciate you sharing the info, likewise will keep posted if I hear anything.
I believe till last year, only if you had applied in R1 you could interview at Johnson. They are changing around things a bit I believe.

Thanks. I got an email invitation last Tuesday too and the phone call today around lunch time. I guess they are still planning for the event? Will keep you posted :)

Hi guys, i forgot to upload my transcripts. The application status asked me to send these to an email id to move forward in the process. Will my application be pushed to round 2?? Or will it still be considered in round 1?

From what i understand, they should consider you for round-1. Schools ask for documents that are missing to ensure that a completed application is then read and reviewed. So in all likelihood, it should be round-1. It is however best to have this in word from the school.
