Had my interview on the 1st of October during an mba fair. I am yet to submit my application...racing against time to do it before the 29th
Are you sure it was an interview?? I have never come across an instance where interviews are held before one submits the application. Can you share your experience of the interview held during the MBA fair?
Yes I am sure it was an interview, received a mail from Rice that the admissions director would be at the fair and I could send my resume if I wanted to be interviewed. I sent my resume and asked them if it was necessary for me to submit my application before the interview, they said that your interview will be kept on file and after you submit your app the entire file would be looked into. I'll give you another instance, I have my Fisher interview on the 18th of Nov and I am yet to submit my application.

The Rice Intvw was friendly and conversational. She was trying to determine the "fit" so why Rice and what after Rice questions took up most of the interview.

I had my interview today -- It was a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Basic MBA style questions, with an emphasis on Rice fit.

Best of luck to all of you with interviews to come!

Interviewed yesterday through Skype. Great I at least tidy my room and hide everything behind camera 1 min before we start....
Questions are basic and interviewer is a nice 2nd yr.
Good luck for everyone here!

Texigen, you mentioned Rice has more older applicants. Is there an age you would say is too old?

Thanks for the assurance and your background ScienceMBA. I am curious, what you plan to do immediately after getting the degree and what you plan to be doing a few years out? As of now, I am still "reality testing" my career path and it would be helpful to hear about yours.

Recieved my interview invite yesterday.Im an international applicant, so opted for a skype interview and suggested few timeslots convenient to me. Awaiting a response on the same.

I am a tad bit concerned about the Rice "fit" aspect of the interview. How can I specifically prepare for it, and what is it they look for in a candidate to assess fit?
Would greatly appreciate any help/tips from you guys who have already interviewed or are going to..Cheers!

Hey Sciencemba, I think you have a strong profile for the PMBA program. I think you should definitely highlight your scientific success, because Rice is looking for a well rounded and diverse class, and it sounds like you could contribute strongly with your knowledge and experiences.

Not that I have noticed, I have seen mba students at Rice across many different ages. I couldn't give you an exact number of what ages are most likely to be admitted but I would presume that there is no cut off.
