I was surprised almost no one talks about 1-Y programme. I submitted my application in R3, And got waiver for interview. Now waiting for decision. Although i submitted without GMAT scores, i submitted the scores as additional info after taking the tests.
Other than Kellogg, i have also applied to MIT, Insead and imperial. Top choice is insead but competition this year seems exceptionally tense. I got dinged by MIT.
I m good with either insead or kellogg now. Totally fine with online learning for the 1st semester. Only worried about the recruitment events at the end of the program. Probably will not benefit alot from the recruitment support in business schools if the covid 19 situation is still worsening. I m vying for tech roles post mba so hopefully tech industry wont be as bad as finance/ consulting in the job market.
Since i m older than the average mba students (i.e.30), i wont defer admission as i expect little difference in job market ( dont think covid can be cured or contained by then.) and because of my age, i just want to do it asap otherwise the time cost is even higher for me.
Hope more 1y applicants can come forward and share their views. It seems very few people applying to 1y due to the dire situation now.
