Wondering if Kellogg will be ok with the recommendation coming in a day or 2 after the deadline? any one has any insights from round 1 ??
They wont hold it against you. As long as it gets there within a reasonable time and all your items are complete. People realize that you can't control your recommenders, especially late in the year when lots of things can come up before the holidays.

Thanks a lot. Im glad schools recognize that we cant control our recommenders.

on a side note: my recommenders were happy that kellogg dint have any word limits on the evaluation questions.. unlike some other schools.. where my evaluator had to work harder than i did to meet the word limit.

I wish my recommenders had the same problem. I basically had to do 90% of the work...

I actually just called the admissions office a few minutes ago, but was unable to get through to my waitlist-contact (didn't know I had one!). I'll try again tomorrow or later this week, but I don't have any significant updates to report to them. I'm just calling to ask if there's any specific additional info Kellogg was looking for, and to reiterate my interest. I'm still toying with the idea of mentioning that I've been accepted at a peer program, but would really like to matriculate at Kellogg. Not sure if this is a good idea ... thoughts anyone?

How long is too long for a 600-word essay? I have one that is currently 627 and one that is 620. Should I cut them down? They're already pretty concise (I edited them down from over 700).

Just call the general Kellogg admissions number and tell them your name. They will tell you who your waitlist manager is along with their contact information.

I read that + or - 5% is a good approximation. Also, I think if one of your essay is shorter it's okay for another to go slightly over the word limit as long as the total number of word of the application stays within the prescribed word limit.

I need help with the letters of recommendations. Did your recommenders use the "Recommendation form" found under "Downloadable forms" in part I of the application website at all? One of my recommenders told me that there is only a single file to upload. I'm really confused about what that form is for since every thing is to be filled out online. :?
Also it says the recommendation should be between 2 and 4 pages. Do you think that this is double spaced?

I used the form to give my recommenders a heads up about what they'd need to answer, and to show them that these questions were very similar to ones they'd already answered for my R1 apps. Once they agreed to do it I registered them online so they received the email and link on how to log in and submit the real thing.

im struggling to cut my essay 1 down from 690! all others are under 600 and 400...... damm... cant wait to submit the Kellogg app and finally take a break....!!!

I don't have a good answer on that since I'm not sure what the auto-email and link look like--any R1s have a better idea?

I have yet to seen recommendations that are double spaced. Assume it is single

It only says 2 to 4 pages without specifying whether it should be single or double spaced. I would assume that you okay either way.

It only says 2 to 4 pages without specifying whether it should be single or double spaced. I would assume that you okay either way.

I'll just tell my recommenders to aim for 2 pages single spaced.
