Good luck, uprightcitizen. Hope you nail it tomorrow!
Well, I had my interview today. It went well, I think. My interviewer was young, recently graduated. One of the first things he said was that he wanted it to be informal. Definitely felt more like a conversation than an interview (I may have asked him as many questions as he asked me).
My job has allowed me enough stories that any situational questions are a breeze, but I do think I could have been stronger with my goals. He mentioned that he was vague about his goals going into school, and I echoed that, saying I felt the same. I think I may have overdone that a bit, but we'll see. Overall, I feel like I did gain someone who wants me to get into the school. And I am confident that the interview didn't hurt my chances. Well, hopefully.
A couple other notes:
-Unlike wiredo, I was not the only one in a suit, haha. My interviewer didn't have one, but a few other people did.
-My interviewer was a 1Y, and that's what I'm applying to. It was incredibly helpful to talk to him about that. I hope Kellogg did that on purpose.
-No questions were "out of the blue" - everything was on ClearAdmit. The only questions that he asked that weren't on there were ones that were conversational or follow-up, which made sense in any conversation.
-I think it's incredibly important to be able to answer "Why Kellogg?" and "Why should Kellogg want me?" - the interview centered on those two ideas. He mentioned he thought it was a two-way interview, me interviewing him on whether Kellogg was a good fit for me, and vice versa. I liked that.
-I got an interview invite to HBS literally right before I left the house this morning. I can honestly say there was nothing that could have boosted my confidence more going into an interview than knowing HBS wanted to interview me, too

A total surprise.
-Good luck everyone who has not had an interview yet!
