You’re good enough to have been interviewed by 8 top programs, so you’re definitely good enough for any other school you decide to apply to in R2. Perhaps you can just speak with some students and see if they can provide additional insights for your essays. But based on your current run, you stand a good chance of converting most of your R1 schools.

These are your jitters speaking. Relax, you will be alright. You interviewed at an outstanding number of b-schools and something good will come out of it for sure, so stay confident. Meanwhile, continue with Wharton and do your research for Kellogg goals essay. In case you feel the need to apply you can still have good drafts ready to submit even if you wait it out until mid December. I’d say, apply to Kellogg not because you are shaky about your chances at other programs, but because you want to attend the Kellogg program and want to take a shot at it!
