What does it mean to be waitlisted for admission without an interview and what is it's impact?
How can I change it to an admit?

waitlisted means you still have chance and can be called for interview if the accepted guys reject the offer. So, hang on. When did you apply or else email adcom about any recent achievements to maximise you chance. I know a guy rejected a offer . so some waitlist wil definetely get called

I got this email today. I applied in round 2.
Will I be interviewed later on, should someone cancel their offer? Also what does it do to my chances of getting a scholarship, and of securing an assistantship?

I got this email today. I applied in round 2.
