Exams grades are not the only part being checked, although your GRE score is amazing!

I got and invite to HEC with a medium GRE, Q164, V155 (I am still waiting for the interview)

I think what makes the difference is meeting with them in advance, a one-to-one conversation. Did you try that?

I emailed admin before with questions and participated in online info sessions several times, also talked to 2 students and 2 alums, which I alluded to in my app. Almost feel maybe I overdid it and seemed ingenuine?? lol idk

or maybe I applied too late and their quota for Chinese citizens filled up, who knows really. it really is a crapshoot sometimes

so i’m now going through the next round and applying to more schools to improve my chances
