Recruitment has been a blunder for CO’23

Here = Georgetown Schools have had varied level of recruitment downturns but there’s a difference between downturns and disasters. Georgetown fell in the latter unfortunately

Actually no one exactly knows how bad GT was as compared to others. So when people say it was disaster as compared to others it’s pure speculation. a lot of things haven’t worked for GT for CO 25 internships because a) super high international folks b) low alumni interaction c) low scholarships for international which makes them cry harder when they fail to land an internship

Point B, and point C in that order are the reasons for why people may decide not to enroll

what do people do when they dont get internships as it is essential part of curriculum

School will find them something. Whether it’s to work with professor, alum or start up or suggest they take internship at their home country Which is not helpful because 70% of ppl at least got FT from internship

Yeah nobody will hire without testing us through internship. Maybe thin chances of that at M7 but prolly not Georgetown

I think this situation must be in other schools too such as rice, olin-washu or others that have around 50% internationals. Anybody has any info on internship recruitment in other institutes, please share Really scared

Olin is not much better Rice is a bit unique because it has a direct access to Texas market So it’s not as bad as some T25 because in Texas and close by there’s only rice and mccomb Gt meanwhile is compete directly w like of Darden, Fuqua, unc and emory for the southeast region Gt = McDonough
