The key to MIT interviews is to have NEW stories/examples. Your interviewer will have read your entire application, so they'll be searching for new information. The questions they'll be asking you serve to fill in the gaps, so to speak. If they don't ask you about your favorite story from one of your essays, that means that they already understand that attribute of your profile.
Although the questions will be similar to those used by other schools, it's important to recognize that this interview is not "blind."
